God Focus

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Oleg Pyshenkin (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the iOS app God Focus (the “App”). God Focus is designed for iPhone and requires iOS 17.0 or later. It is available in English and Spanish.

God Focus helps you put Scripture and prayer before distracting apps through scheduled Faith Pauses. The App does not require a God Focus login account. Purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. The App uses privacy-minimized product analytics and a third-party paywall service, as described below.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

God Focus is designed to keep much of your experience on your iPhone. The App may store the following information locally:

  • Faith Pause schedules
  • onboarding and setup state
  • Screen Time selections used to protect apps you choose
  • Bible reading position and reading preferences
  • Discover and journey state
  • saved verses
  • Scripture activity
  • streak and 90 Days with Scripture progress
  • Faith Reminder settings
  • language preference
  • a local subscription-status cache used alongside Apple’s verified StoreKit state

This information is used to operate the App on your device. Deleting the App generally removes this app-local data from your iPhone. It does not cancel an Apple subscription, revoke Screen Time authorization by itself, or delete information already sent to third-party services.

3. Screen Time and Protected Apps

God Focus uses Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity APIs so you can choose apps to pause during a Faith Pause. Authorization is individual. God Focus is not a child-monitoring, parental-surveillance, or employee-monitoring product.

The protected-app identities and Apple FamilyControls tokens used for shielding remain on your device. They are not sent to God Focus product analytics. Those tokens may be shared only with the App’s extensions through Apple App Group storage so pausing and unlocking can work across the App and its extensions.

We do not receive a readable remote list of your installed or selected applications. Screen Time behavior also depends on iOS, your permissions, and Apple system APIs.

4. Bible and Faith Pause Activity

The App may store Scripture activity, reading position, Discover or journey progress, saved verses, streak information, and 90 Days progress locally on your device so those features can work.

The current analytics design does not send Scripture text, prayer text, or Bible verse contents to PostHog.

5. Product Analytics

God Focus uses PostHog for privacy-minimized product analytics. This may include events related to onboarding, paywall presentation, setup, and activation funnels, so we can understand whether the App is working and where people get stuck.

The current analytics design does not send:

  • Scripture text
  • prayer text
  • Bible verse contents
  • protected-app identities
  • FamilyControls tokens
  • receipts
  • email addresses
  • phone numbers
  • contacts
  • precise location
  • advertising identifiers, including IDFA

Session Replay is disabled. God Focus does not use advertising ID analytics. For more information about PostHog, see PostHog’s privacy policy.

6. Purchases and Subscriptions

Purchases and optional God Focus Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Apple handles payment, billing, refunds, and entitlement under its own terms and privacy policies. God Focus does not receive your full payment-card information.

The App may receive transaction and entitlement information from Apple so it can determine whether Pro access is active, restore purchases, and operate subscription-related features. Prices and plan details are provided dynamically by StoreKit and shown by Apple at the time of purchase.

Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription associated with your Apple ID. You must manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple.

7. Notifications

If you enable them, the App may schedule optional local Faith Reminders on your device. Notification permission is optional. The App does not use remote push notifications for Faith Reminders in the current product.

You can change notification permission in iPhone Settings → Notifications → God Focus.

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Apple. App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases, and Screen Time / Family Controls APIs. See Apple’s privacy information for those services.
  • PostHog. Product analytics, as described above. PostHog privacy policy.
  • Superwall. Paywall presentation and subscription-related attributes. Superwall may receive limited operational information needed to present paywalls and process subscription-related events. Superwall privacy policy.

If you contact God Focus Support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, device details, and any screenshots you attach. We use that information to respond, investigate issues, and improve support.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use advertising SDKs or Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) analytics. The App does not request camera, microphone, contacts, or precise-location access as part of the core product.

Information may be processed by Apple, PostHog, or Superwall as needed to provide their services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the App.

10. Data Retention

Information stored locally on your device generally remains until you change it in the App, reset relevant settings, or delete the App.

Deleting the App removes app-local data from that device. It does not, by itself:

  • cancel or remove an Apple purchase entitlement associated with your Apple ID
  • revoke Screen Time or Family Controls authorization, which may need to be changed in iOS separately
  • delete analytics or provider data already transmitted to PostHog, Superwall, or Apple, which may be retained under those providers’ policies

Support messages may be retained as reasonably necessary to resolve your request, keep support records, prevent abuse, or comply with law.

11. Your Choices

  • You may decline Screen Time or notification permission, although some features will not work without Screen Time access.
  • You may change notification permissions in iPhone Settings.
  • You may manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple’s subscription management interface.
  • You may delete locally stored App data by deleting the App.
  • You may contact us with privacy questions or requests using the God Focus Support address in the Contact section.

12. Children’s Privacy

The App is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. No God Focus account or social profile is required. The App is not a parental-monitoring or child-surveillance product. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through support, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

13. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information within our control, such as support communications. Because much of your App data is stored locally, you are also responsible for securing your device through the protections available in iOS.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot promise that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed in an unauthorized way.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy to the extent permitted by law.
