What is a Faith Pause?
A Faith Pause is a scheduled time when the apps you chose to protect are paused with Apple Screen Time. When you start the authorized Faith Pause from a blocked-app flow, God Focus is designed to move through Scripture, then prayer, then unlock.
How do I choose protected apps?
Open God Focus and follow the in-app prompt to choose apps through Apple’s Screen Time / Family Controls picker. The identities of those apps stay on your device.
How do I change my Faith Pause schedule?
Open God Focus and update your Faith Pause times in the App. The next scheduled pause uses the times you save, subject to iOS and Screen Time behavior.
Why does God Focus need Screen Time access?
God Focus uses Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity APIs to pause the apps you select at your Faith Pause times. Without that permission, the App cannot apply a Screen Time shield to those apps.
Why are notifications optional?
Faith Reminders are optional local notifications. You can use scheduled Faith Pauses without turning reminders on. If you want a quieter prompt during the day, enable notifications in iPhone Settings → Notifications → God Focus.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open God Focus → Settings → Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID that made the original purchase. Entitlements stay with Apple, not with a God Focus account.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Open God Focus → Settings and use Manage Subscription, or go to iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting God Focus does not cancel an Apple subscription.
How do I change the Bible language?
God Focus is available in English and Spanish. Open God Focus → Settings and choose your preferred language if the option is available in your version of the App.
How do I delete God Focus data?
Deleting the App removes app-local data from that iPhone, including local schedules, reading state, saved verses, and progress stored on the device. It does not cancel your Apple subscription, automatically revoke Screen Time authorization in iOS, or erase analytics already sent to third-party providers.
What happens if I reinstall the app?
You will need to set up Faith Pauses and Screen Time access again. Eligible purchases can be restored with the same Apple ID. Local reading progress, saved verses, and 90 Days progress stored only on the device are not kept after deletion.
How is my information handled?
Most of your Faith Pause and Bible data stays on your device. Protected-app identities are not sent to product analytics. PostHog is used for privacy-minimized product analytics, Superwall is used for paywalls, and Apple processes purchases. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
